Gabby was born on December 31, 1995, in Virginia, in a Christian family. She is American and keeps the belief in God. She finished her schooling years in her native city and in 2002 she started training in gymnastics professionally.
With great expectations from her family and the development of her gymnastics skills, she moved to train under Liang Chow’s supervision, where she opened her true talents. There she lived with Missy Patron and her family who accepted her. It was not an easy time for Gab to fit in.
Her international debut came in 2008 when she took part in US Classic in Houston. She was placed ten in the all-around finals. The same year, she competed at Visa Championships at took 16th place. But it was just a beginning and a push for self-perfection.
In 2010, she finally polished her skills and won the uneven bars title at Pan American Championships and shared a gold medal with her team. Her senior career started in 2011 when she shared a gold medal with the US team in Tokyo.
